The post holder in addition to the day to day assigned duties for the country office, she/he is responsible to deal with the country wide schedules data review (c15-C36), facilitate fidelity insurance coverage, linkages of external vendors with the SAP system, prepare international payroll monthly, etc.  Very significant amount of time will be spent in relation to the intercompany charges process.

Dimensions of the Role

  • Responsible to manage the cycle/ process of intercompany charges.
  • Responsible for reviewing receivable and payable balances from system in association with the quarterly schedules updating of different types of data.
  • Responsible for the review of data processed by her/his subordinates, without compromising job segregation principle with her/his area of duties.
  • Responsible to supervise the staffs under her/his area of responsibility and enable them to deliver the required supports, efficiently, effectively and timely.


  • Maintain register for intercompany charges
  • Identify errors for example duplicated PO, or where the purchase process has been cancelled but commitment is still in place against the project
  • Prepare letters /update/ Facilitate fidelity insurance coverage
  • Facilitate linkages to external venders with  SAP System
  • Review liquidations of  travel, project and purchase advances
  • Review travel advances for International travels
  • Review Satellite office advances
  • Create  ID for Staff and facilitate linkages for external vendors  in finance module
  • Review  balances for receivables and payables on monthly or quarterly basis and take action  on issues identified
  • Review from the system staff advances on monthly basis and inform to payroll holder for action
  • Prepare Quarterly reports on the relevant data that will be  input for schedules from  C15-C36
  • Prepare payroll sheet for  International staff salary and benefits, calculate  income taxes associated with this payment, post expenditure to SAP (after review by supervisor/s
  • Review for accuracy, completeness and compliance, tasks performed by her/his subordinates

Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Child Protection (CPP) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI) are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.

Job Requirements


B.A. degree in Accounting.  At least seven years of relevant experience with financial management.

Desirable Knowledge

  • Working knowledge at NGO environment.
  • Good knowledge of influencing others.
  • Knowledge of accounting and Ethiopian taxes
  • Good analytical skill

Skills Specific to the Post

  • Knowledge on computer applications; Excel, word, etc.
  • Good communication skills both oral and writing
  • Who Can manage stress full working environment
