WASH Cluster Coordinator (INT5639)

Do you have relevant 5 years of solid practical experience on WASH sector coordination and related activities?

Do you have demonstrated experience of working with UN clusters, government authorities and implementing I/NGO partners?

Do you have demonstrated ability and experience in leading cluster coordination meetings and planning and implementing both Emergency and recovery projects?

The Role

The WASH Cluster Coordinator will be responsible to Plan, implement, review and support the service delivery, inform the national WASH Cluster’s strategic decision making, plan and implement cluster strategies in the zone, monitor performance and progress and support Oxfam field team as part of OGB livelihood, resilience building and emergency preparedness / response / recovery programme in Guji/Gedeo Zone.

 

What we are looking for

As WASH Cluster Coordinator, you are expected to have advanced degree in relevant Engineering discipline, Public Health, Environmental Health and Social Sciences; proven experience of project cycle management, mentoring, capacity building of team / partners including training facilitation, working with local partners including local authorities, and in gender analysis and integrating gender and diversity into programmes. You will have excellent knowledge of and commitment to humanitarian principles (NGO / Red cross code of conduct) and with Sphere humanitarian charter and minimum standards; and about the importance of integrated approach (PHE / PHP/ Livelihood) for drought and/or conflict risk management.

 

You need to have skills on diplomacy and negotiation with internal and external audiences; confident representation; communication and cross-cultural management; and flexibility and ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines in changing situations; and also, to work well under pressure and in response to changing needs; have experience of using different computer soft wares; excellent command of English language (speaking and writing) and over local language (Amharic / Afan Oromo).
